Sister Alex is well known in the Atlantic Seaboard, where she has practiced as a paediatric nurse for 30 years. Her passion for children and families has encompassed all aspects of paediatrics. Her experience includes critical care, children with congenital defects, oncology, community care, psychiatry, midwifery and caring for children with special needs

Sister Alex founded Kids Clinic in Camps Bay in 2000, where she has run a well-baby and child service. With the growth of her sons, her interest in teenagers and parenting grew. In 2018, she established Common Sense Parenting workshops, with psychologist Robyn Smith, and has increasingly focused on equipping parents with tools for parenting the iGen generation.

Sister Alex is thrilled to be joining the Atlantic Children’s Practice, establishing an Adolescent clinic and Parenting support services. She plans to include parenting classes and information evenings
